Now that science has validated writing and journaling in clinical trials
as a healing modality, more people are exploring how they can use writing
to heal their lives. Inner Process Writing™
encourages individuals to share their stories and emotions through an active
act of creation.
Writing has always been an integral part of my healing and sense of well-being.
As a graduate student I developed a way to apply psychological methods to
the practice of writing, and graduated with a self-designed degree called
A Psychology of Writing, which has become the Inner
Process Writing™ that I now use therapeutically.
You don’t have to be a writer to practice Inner Process Writing™! You simply bring your willingness to the page, and implement the guidelines provided in our therapeutic sessions or workshops. When you embark on this pathway, you find you now have an accessible tool, available to you at ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, where you can contact your inner calm, unfold meanings, clarify what you are feeling, and establish a sense of connection and groundedness.
We can either use this process in session privately, or you can join an ongoing group. Whichever method appeals to you, you will find your writing is greeted with safety, gentleness, and an eye toward authentic emotional expression. Your writing, should you choose to share it, will be greeted with appreciation and as the outpouring of your heart. This is NOT a writer’s workshop or critique group—this is a powerful healing method.
