My work with you involves bringing compassionate attention to your emotional world—to buried feelings that have been shamed and stuffed and otherwise redirected to the detriment of your psyche and energy. By safely experiencing your core feelings, you will naturally move toward your vital way of being less defended and better able to move elegantly through the negotiation of your daily life.
| “Therapy should
not be theory-driven, but relationship-driven” Irvin Yalom, The Gift of Therapy |
Because many of us feel terribly alone, we often don’t know how to make necessary and soothing connections with others. Working with me, you will heal the pain of disconnection in your internal world, and you will learn how to carry these tools into your outer world to facilitate a much wider scope of healing. The emotional pain that is between you and the life you want to live will be the direct encounter point of our work together.
Innen is a Japanese word that speaks to the interplay of internal and external causes or relations (in – meaning direct causes, and – en meaning indirect conditions). The external circumstances of our lives and the present conditions in which we live join us in our quest for healing and wholeness.
